I work with organizations, leadership teams, and individuals who are serious about meaning. Not as a concept. As something you actually build.

My background is unusual. Religious leader. Civic and educational leader. Founding editor of the Harvard Graduate Journal of Religion. TEDx speaker. I've spent a lot of time in rooms where people were finally telling the truth about their lives. That experience shapes everything I do.

Here's what I keep finding: the most pressing leadership challenge of our moment isn't strategy or execution. It's meaning. People are disengaged not because their work is hard, but because it doesn't feel connected to anything larger than a quarterly target. That's a solvable problem. But it requires a different kind of conversation than most organizations are having.

What I Offer

Keynotes and Presentations

I speak on meaning, purpose, and what I call the Purpose Pandemic, the widespread collapse of meaning-making capacity in modern life, and what we can do about it. My talks are grounded in neuroscience and ancient wisdom, but they're also personal. I'm not reading from slides. I'm talking about something I've lived. The audience changes; the questions don't.

Leadership Retreats and Workshops

Half-day and full-day experiences for teams who want to go deeper than a typical off-site. Not exercises. Actual conversations about purpose, agency, and what it means to lead from conviction rather than obligation.

Organizational Consulting
