Hi, I’m Aaron

I've spent my career at the intersection of leadership, meaning, and the interior life. As a religious leader, civic leader, and founding editor of the Harvard Graduate Journal of Religion, I've had a front-row seat to what happens when people who are successful by every external measure quietly wonder if it's enough.

Those conversations taught me something I didn't expect: most people aren't suffering from a lack of success. They're suffering from a loss of meaning. And those are very different problems.

Now I write, speak, and teach at the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern science, for people who have worked hard, achieved real things, and find themselves wondering what comes next. My framework, the Meaning Matrix, is built on a simple but uncomfortable premise: meaning is a skill, not a reward. It can be practiced, developed, and deepened at any age, in any season.

I'm also a husband, a dad of four, a Texan, and someone who thinks the most important conversations we can have are the ones we keep putting off.

If something here resonates, the best next step is my Substack, where I write regularly on purpose, meaning, and the interior life. And if you're interested in bringing this work into your organization or event, head to the Speaking and Work With Me page.
